re: Amberjack Opens this weekend - bayoudude
Hell during the one weekend of fed snapper season them bastards were so thick that the snapper were blowing up the surface. Caught all my snapper on an anteater butterfly jig. THis was in the South Timb. 160 block 130 feet of water. ...

WPsportsman If you are looking to charter expect to pay $2500 plus fuel, bait and ice for a six man overnight trip. If you can find someone you know with a boat capable of doing the trip you should be able to get it done for less than $1k with an outboard boat $2500-3000 for a big sporty. ...

re: How important is FDIC insurance to you? - bayoudude
I am in this situation right now. I am over the FDIC limit but I hate the thought of having to open multiple accounts at different banks to insure FDIC has my savings covered. I am with one of the biggest names out there and just hope they are too big to fail in my lifetime.......

re: Amberjack Opens this weekend - bayoudude
I would start mid water column with jigs and or live bait and starting at 150 ft water depth is solid advice. Hooking up to a decent amberjack will definitely separate the men from the boys them bastards fight with a vengeance. I wouldn't be surprised to find more endangered red snapper than amberja...

re: Can we talk about the problems with "Gun Free Zones"? - bayoudude
I think ya'll are on to something with the gun free zones having to take measures to ensure they are in fact gun free. It should be the property owner's responsibility if they declare themselves a gun free zone. this should apply to govt, state and local public institutions as well. ...
