re: San Diego Comic-Con Mega-Thread: Updates and Discussion - Boss
Additionally, I think Affleck is a solid choice as a grizzled Batman, I think Cavill was fine (although a bit monotone) as Superman, and I think Gadot looks stunning as Wonder Woman. I just hope Snyder can mesh the dynamic between the two characters together....

Maybe they don't fight, and they shouldn't. But based on what is hinted and the armor, and the damn title, you think they might face off a bit. When I say realistic, I mean gritty, non-comic book feeling. When your story is about an alien then you are inherently going to get some sci-fi element...

re: San Diego Comic-Con Mega-Thread: Updates and Discussion - Boss
Read what I wrote. In TDKR Superman is hurt by a nuke, he has trouble deflecting a nuke, Batman stands toe to toe with him before kryptonite. He is way underpowered compared to Snyder's version of Superman in MOS. Superman in MOS, would have punted the nuke out of the galaxy, and would rip Batm...

No, I actually enjoyed The Dark Knight Returns. Spoilers for those who haven't seen it. But the world they have in it is a comic book world. Bruce gets shot and stabbed and then manages to run around for 15 minutes dodging bullets. The Joker can break his own neck. ...

re: San Diego Comic-Con Mega-Thread: Updates and Discussion - Boss
The problem, Scruffy, is that Snyder made a a non-comic book world. It was more grounded ala the Nolan Batman films (aside from Matrix tentacles at the end). Also, 90% of your audience is non-comic book readers. So they have the Burton films, the Schumacher films, and the Nolan films. Burton...

re: San Diego Comic-Con Mega-Thread: Updates and Discussion - Boss
That is what I tried to point out yesterday. In MOS they move and fight so fast, it reminds you of the The Matrix at the end, when Neo is basically having a beer while fighting Agent Smith. Humans stand absolutely no chance against any Kryptonian the way they set it up in MOS. A metal suit isn't ...

I don't get how they co-exist in screen. In MOS he moves so fast that Batman would look ridiculous next to him. What value physically does he add, zero right? The costume in those stills he look like the hulk buster from IM3. I am not a comic book reader but I don't see how you fit a human supe...

re: Novak Djokovic and Appropriate GOAT Criteria - Boss
i think you have to look at highest level over some period of time. You point to Djokovic's 2001 season which was ridiculous. But look back at Federer's prime. There is a point where he reached a grand slam final 18 out of 19 grand slams, winning 12, being the finalist 6 other times, and losing...

We buy Organic fruits and veggies from the Dirty Dozen list. We try to buy Non-GMO also. If Wal-Mart offered that at a cheaper price, then I am all for it. There is no clear scientific evidence one way or another if organic and Non-GMO foods are better for you or if GMO foods are dangerous. ...

Yes, Atchafalaya is definitely a tier below. I would put it more along the lines of Dick and Jenny's pre-Katrina. Domenica was really outstanding. I've been to August about 4 or 5 times, and you see the same type of craftsmanship in the dishes at Domenica at a more casual lower price point. ...
