Basketball style of play - chinesebandit76
Anyone else wondering where was this "up tempo push the ball up the floor" style most of the season? It is definitely more fun to watch, and the players seem to be more engaged....

re: LSU players - chinesebandit76
OBJ would fit a great need, and 27 is about the range he is supposed to go. Saints need a player to stretch the field. I like Landry as well, but he is too similar to most of the Saihts current targets. He has great hands, but he lacks speed....

re: What's been a bigger issue on the road: line play or play calling? - chinesebandit76
Honestly, I don't believe our road play is as bad as all of the pundits would have you believe. 2 of the losses came on the final drive of the game. In both games, the Saints could have put the game away, but chose to play conservative and it but them in the butt. The St.Louis game was a difficul...

Ok, time to bring this thread back to the coaching search for Penn State. Schiano- I wouldn't want this guy. Munchak- this would be a great move for both parties. Golden- this is his dream job and he would not leave for a long time....

Munchak makes a lot of sense. A guy with NFL experience who is an alum. Also, I don't think Tennessee would put up a fight to keep him from leaving. ...

Now that Bill O'Brien has left for Houston, who becomes Penn State's top target? - chinesebandit76
Adam Schefter is reporting the Texans and Bill O'Brien are negotiating a deal. Obviously this does not mean he will go, but if he does who does Penn State target? Al Golden? Also, does this mean Texas and Penn State will be battling for the same high profile coach?...

re: "All we need is a mediocre defense." - chinesebandit76
The play calling at the end is what gets me. Most people will tell you to run the ball at the end to force them to use timeouts. However, the Saints are not built to smash mouth anyone. By running 3 straight downs, you are conceding that the Panthers will get the ball back. That is not what the ...

re: Hartley - chinesebandit76
This guy is a headcase and you can't trust him in the playoffs. The saints should make a move now to get someone who can kick fg's consistently. Both misses today are on him even if they were blocked. They were hit way too low for those short kicks....

Dude is a douche. His players play like douches too. They are in the faces opposing players after every play. They hit guys after the play. It comes from the top. At the end of the game he is throwing the ball when he is up by 27 with 5 min to go. Total Douche!...

Panthers game should be flexed to Sunday night - chinesebandit76
With this win, the Panthers will be playing for the division lead. I find it hard to believe NBC won't pick this game over packers vs falcons. Fox will protect Seahawks vs Niners, leaving the Saints game open to be flexed. Sunday night atmosphere would be helpful IMO....

I am sorry. We lost and we deserved to lose. However, Miles had to take a time out with 25 sec to give his team a chance. You never know what could happen. It only takes one or two plays to get in field goal range. He is the worst gameday coach in the history of the program if not College footb...

2nd down with 2:10 left - chinesebandit76
This was the time to throw the ball. The clock will stop at the 2 min warning anyway. Hard play action there gives you a good chance of making a completion. Damn good game, but I think Payton pissed this one away....

re: Maybe the Giants would want Ingram - chinesebandit76
As much as the coaches seemed to want Ingram back in the draft, he really does not fit the offense. I agree he has been bad, but he is the type of back that needs to pound the rock 20 times a game. Getting the ball 6 times a game will never be the right fit for him. I agree there are a couple of ...

re: Rhymes has hit in 13 double plays, why didn't Mainieri bunt? - chinesebandit76
I thought Maineri had an overall bad game of decision making. When LSU gave up the go ahead run, 1st base was open with a lefty at the plate. I know Bregman had to make that play, but Nola had a much better chance of getting out the right handed batter who he eventually struck out. The decision n...

re: Discussion: The last offensive series in bowl game - chinesebandit76
I agree. The first down call was aggressive and out of character for Miles. After you get 8 on that play, I feel the rushing attack should have been able to pick up 2 yards on 2 plays. I am not sure why we chose to throw again on 2nd down. It didn't make sense. Bowl games are stupid though. I...
