re: 30 facts about Google you may not know - nuwaydawg
I don't really want to reply to my own post. Whatever. I continually see posts on this website with an emphasis on...who, what, where and why. Enlighten me. Learn me on why. "Why" is a trait of successful people and at the same time unsuccessful people. You can use it as a challenge, or ...

re: 30 facts about Google you may not know - nuwaydawg
The company I used to work for would hire a bunch of engineers for a project. After the project was completed, they would sort through these new hires and cull those for various reasons (alphas, betas, weird, unable to take/receive direction, arrogant and unwilling to learn) and assign them to me to...

re: Had Indian food for the first time - nuwaydawg
I have eaten many times at a Pakistani/Northern Indian place. Not as spicy as the southern Indian places. More meat and cream, less "beyond spicy dishes". Butter or tandoori chicken, creamed spinach with potatoes, orange cream of wheat, chickpeas/tomatoes/parsley, goat stew, kidney beans in gravy ...

re: Most Helpful Putting Tip You've Been Given - nuwaydawg
There are two aspects to putting. The line and the speed, with speed being the most difficult. An old guy taught me about speed. Once you pick a spot between the ball and the hole, get over the putt and aim. Then...forget everything. You may have thought beforehand about uphill/downhill, fast/slo...

re: What is you go-to shot? (Golf) - nuwaydawg
You know who will beat your arse on a golf course? That 60+ year old with the Mizuno or Titliest blades with new grips. The guy that pulls out an 8 iron from 30 yards in, the guy that makes you putt the short ones. The old SOB's that never 3 putt, can't it far, but if in trouble can slice or hook ...

Spent some time in the personnel department hiring for the most part hourly employees. Not my forte. I'll admit. It was monotonous. Interviewing salaried candidates was enlightening. Bottom line. Don't care where you matriculated, don't care about your education, don't care about your ties...

That's the thing about engineering. You are only employable if you can come up with something new. I've worked with many engineers that were competent, problem is, they could only function in a cubical. Unless they can be the next Tesla, they are expendable. Lot of pressure. ...

I used to work for a Fortune 500 company that would bring in engineers from GT, MIT, West Point and Rensselaer. After a project was done, it was my job to see if they could manage a union shop. Never had a Clemson ME/EE. Most of my electricians were former Navy Chiefs. Submariners. They would run...
