well that was stupid
Why? It was a track scholarship. I had academic scholarships too. I was tired of running. I was tired of being 6'3 145 lbs. I didn't know how I felt about being coached by someone else other than my father. I was talented, but not elite talent. So, no matte...

The Business of Fitness - PurpleandGold Motown
So, I quit smoking. Yay me, and I want to get back into running. I was a state level mid-distance (800, 1600, 3200) in high school. Turned down athletic scholarships to party and drink through college. Anyway, so I want to run again and stave off weight gain -- maybe compete in a few half and f...

If Coker transfers in I'm pretty sure he will get the nod. No use transferring if that's not the case. At 6'5 230, he would be our biggest QB. He can also move. From what I've seen of him this season and during FSUs spring game, he's got a pretty good arm as well....

Oh I know. Just replied to last post as it was a general comment to no one in particular. They run about 62 miles per day tops but that is under optimal conditions for dogs (cold). They can't do that in even moderate temperatures without overheating themselves and dying. They have no method of staying cool other than panting....

Deer? Really? When have you ever seen a deer do anything that implies stamina? Humans top end speed is abysmal but we survived by our "canter" or "lope" being faster than all other animals and being able to keep it up longer. We force prey to sprint or gallop. They can't cool down properly becaus...
For real? Have you ever heard of horses?
Yes. We beat those too. In fact, horses die when they try to run with a human, and our distance gait (on an elite level like a Kenyan marathoner ) is faster by about 3 feet per second than a horse's. How do you people not know this? ...

Humans did not evolve as straight up fighters. Not to say we couldn't hold our own, but that's not what we are built to do. And it's been a long time since any human has had to fight tooth and claw for it's life against other animals on a regular basis. We are runners. That's what we do. Wheth...
