David Letterman loves them. I've never seen him ask for a reprise.

Got back Friday from family trip. Everyone agreed the best meal was Grouse Mountain Grill. Modern American. Rabbit, elk and duck were outstanding. All the first courses were killer. Great wine list.
Ti Amo is red sauce Italian, similar to Genusa's, or Vincent's. Veal dishes were good.

No rice and gravy, but you do get cracklins. I'm trying this recipe for Christmas.
| Food and Drink Board|| re: Are there any good Mexican restaurants in Ruston? - rsb831 on 12/22/14 at 3:23 pm|
There are 3 El Jarrito's in Ruston now. I think the one on Celebrity Dr. has the best food.
And the Old Mexico location - now La Bamba - has new owners and it's not terrible.
Iron Cactus in Calhoun is my favorite. ...

Does she have any regular decision apps still out there? Selective schools don't notify until 4/1. My daughter thought she had her mind made up but then got acceptance from a reach school that she didn't think she had a shot at....

I've enjoyed the small plates much more than the entree's. The pastas have been excellent. I was disappointed in the pizza, but that was within the first month of opening. Haven't ordered one since, I should give it another try....

It's pretty much a hole-in-the-wall. A lunch only sandwich place in a light industrial area. Very good burgers. No inside tables, just patio picnic tables. I'd go back. ...

No, it was first time, went for anniversary. Had a great time. We were there 9/27-10/2, weather was great. Stayed in town for 2 nights and then went down to the Allison in Newberg for 3 nights.
The Allison is first class. If anyone wants to do the Willamette Valley, I highly recommend it....

Agree on Salt and Straw. Went three out of the 5 days in Portland. Favorite flavor was Pear and Blue Cheese, but all were great.
In that same stretch of Division, is Ava Gene's, a higher-end modern Italian place. Wife thought it was the best salmon dish she has ever had - and she's eaten a lot...

Had both Pok Pok's and MoPho's wings in the last 2 weeks. They are very similar with MoPho's being "wetter". Didn't really have a preference. Order them spicy at Pok Pok. Even then, they aren't very.
Richter's cookbook looks good....

Agree. MLU-CHO has seen a big jump over the last two years. Check out Richmond. Sometimes the difference is enough to justify the one hour drive.
Also, US Air out of Jackson used to beat Delta out of Monroe by a good bit, but not anymore....

Good list, a lot of ground to cover.
Minetta Tavern is my favorite place in the city. Just feels like NYC to me. Difficult reservation to get at decent times, but it can be done. They also have a great brunch.
My wife would say to swap Gramercy Tavern for Gotham Bar & Grill for lunch. It i...
