re: Which of the following would you choose for a Saturday night dinner in N.O. - rsb831
Coquette is outstanding, but have been a couple of times already this year. What about Patois? How is it holding up? Haven't heard much about it lately....

OK, looking for good cocktails, decent wine list, informed service, and delicious food trumps all. I am thinking Boucherie is the one, but it may be too casual. Not looking to impress anyone, however I would like it feel like a night out, not just eating. Does this give you anything to work wi...

re: Anyone ever been to Viceroy Riviera Maya (formerly the Tides)(Mexico in General) - rsb831
We went when it first opened, 2004 I think. It was named Ikal del Mar then. It was incredible. I think it has expanded since then, but the room was great, cool bathroom/outdoor shower and the plunge pool was nice. Each room is very private and secluded. ;) My only concern would be if you are lookin...

re: Italy: Rome, Florence, and Just Outside of Florence - rsb831
Check out her blog. It has the details. We were there for a week two Thanksgivings ago. I think it was 85 euros if it was just the list or 100 if she made reservations. I stumbled onto her website from a link in the NYT. At the time she was doing it just from website and word of mouth. Now she is...

re: Any tips on dealing with a travel agent? - rsb831
I agree with the posters above if it is a straight forward trip. But if you are going off the beaten path or are looking for something special, an agent can be a help. Also, they will note on all the bookings that it is a honeymoon and will try to score you upgrades....

Eater names Rue 127 as one of the 25 most underrated restaurants in the country - rsb831
To update the underrated thread from a few weeks ago: "Chef Ray Gruezke's New American food at restaurant Rue 127 deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as places like Stella! and Cochon. But because Gruezke doesn't have a big public image like other NOLA chefs — say Donald Link or John Besh...

re: Does This Hummus Recipe Seem Legit? - rsb831
Actually, I haven't found one I don't like. First discovered it in NYC 10 or so years ago. Made my day when I saw it in the Ruston Super 1. Making it isn't hard, but Sabra is convenient and as good as homemade. Kind of like Hellman's mayo. You could make it, but why?...

I agree about LBK's being greasy. Don't know if my heart or waistline could take that much "practice". I think Johnny's regular pizza in much better than the buffet. Almost like two different recipes. And I'm pretty sure we must know each other or at least our families do. I was at the pool ...
