re: College athletes being paid. - yallallcrazy
This is the aspect of the question that I think needs more discussion. On top of the thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of dollars worth of tuition, room, support, etc., the athletes are also receiving highly specialized and highly expert training in their field.
This is the...

re: Has anyone seen Sandhill Cranes in NE La? - yallallcrazy
They hang out several weeks every year in my lease. Very cool to sit in the duck blind and hear those loud suckers fly around. They've been as close as about 75 yds a few times but I've never gotten closer to them than that. ...

re: Thoughts on duck hunting these days - yallallcrazy
I think too much emphasis is placed on numbers, and specifically limits. I love a limit as much as anyone, but because it indicates a good day with a lot of birds coming in. I've had several good hunts this year with only 2-4 birds. They worked in great, responded to call, dropped the flaps and c...

re: Anybody shoot a 6.5 creedmore? - yallallcrazy
Any of the 6.5s are great hunting rounds. If you look at things like sectional density and ballistic coefficient, it is shocking how such an easy-shooting round could have so much effect on the animal receiving it! That said, the creedmore, .260 Rem,and 6.5 swede are all more similar than differ...

re: Raising a child in a non religious home with a very religious extended family - yallallcrazy
It is unlikely to happen, though, with no background. So?
Well, to me that means you have a preferred choice for them. That's cool. It would be your kids so it's up to you. To me it would be like letting my adult kids who only grew up in the southern US and never took a ...

re: Raising a child in a non religious home with a very religious extended family - yallallcrazy
Well, it may be. Depends on the parents. I guess that's what I'm saying. No matter what you do, you are picking a starter path for your kid. Don't hide behind the "letting them choose" part. That only comes with how you react to them leaving the path you set initially. IMO, it is more bene...

re: Raising a child in a non religious home with a very religious extended family - yallallcrazy
I think this is actually more right than not, even if it sounds strange. It really is the only way to expose kids to religion so that they CAN make a choice later. In truth, most 6-12 year old kids would never choose to go sit in church of their own volition. Those who say they will let kids choo...

re: Rewatched the Auburn game.........(WARNING: TL;DR) - yallallcrazy
For all the talk about our predictable play calling and formations, first downs were EXTREMELY effective, and the stat they showed about midway through the 2nd quarter proved it perfectly. At that point, we had 108 total yards, 107 of which came on first down.
Not possible. All w...

re: Rapper Lil Boosie: “African-Americans are the worst race in the world” - yallallcrazy
I mentioned that it is a legacy. White people don't actively make poor black kids do that.
You are correct, you did phrase it that way. So, if whites do not actively do these things, but the legacy is destructive within the black community, is it productive to keep it at the ...
Our ancestors created this problem.
Ok, but whether I agree or not, we cannot go back and fix that.
kids at capitol look down on the ones who achieve in math, science, humanities, etc. because they are seen to be "acting white."
How do white folks fix this? ...
If you went to capitol high school, would this be as easy as if you went to catholic high?
Absolutely not, and therein lies the problem. It will be difficult for a Capitol kid to ever even hear about these suggested steps, much less model them. The difference is the culture of...

re: Here are some stats on the play calling - yallallcrazy
Well Jennings threw it 26 times. So, maybe 26 passes to 32 or so runs prior to Jennings going out. Not the Air Raid for sure, but a long way from 3 yds and a cloud of dust, 1972 Miami Dolphin offense a lot of folks on here think we run. Problem was AJ only completed half his passes. ...

re: "Taking the Crowd Out of the Game" - yallallcrazy
This is probably the most accurate thought I've seen about Jennings, play calls, etc. If we had blocked, thrown and caught at all in the first three quarters the offensive "game plan" would have looked a lot better....
