re: BOIL has become predictable - sneakytiger
My current pattern has been as follows - I start a position Monday-Tuesday of each week and then get stopped out on Thursday morning when the report comes out and whatever I'm in invariably tanks, only to then watch it creep back or reverse completely (see today) after lunch. edit - it drives m...

I've dealt with a ton of young attorneys from South Texas at big firms in Houston. All corporate/securities stuff. They work their asses off, but areally well paid and earning valuable experience no doubt....

re: Buying a house, issue with seller. Advice appreciated - sneakytiger
she doesn't pay taxes on the rental to me and she marked on the sales contract that she's a resident of the state we're in so she can avoid more taxes.
That sounds really sketchy. I'd make sure you don't have any exposure, especially on your second statement if you are referring ...

re: Lnglf.....who has been stocking up? - sneakytiger
It's a secondary equity offering on the ASX. They did the same thing in July 2014 for about $40 million. Hopefully they actually have a commercial use for the proceeds other than "general corporate uses" type of thing. If they price at $3 a share they'll issue about 60,000,000 new shares....

Can I legally have a car towed when partially on property? - sneakytiger
I've had chronic issues with people parking in public street spaces, but with one or both of their wheels hopped up over the curb and onto what used to be my lawn. It's a giant mud pit at the moment and before I invest the time and money into new sod I want to make sure I can tow these a-holes if ...

re: 2015 CPA Study Thread - Post status, questions, tips, words of encouragement - sneakytiger
Not sure if it's been mentioned in the thread yet, but if anyone is feeling frustrated or overwhelmed with the huge volume of information Becker and the other popular study materials offer, try Roger CPA's cram courses. They are cheaper, and much, much more efficient. I give Roger a lot of credit ...

re: BOIL has become predictable - sneakytiger
Just rehashing thoughts on what I read on a daily basis. Production and rig counts are flat, production is up YOY. Stating the obvious, but the key variable this summer is power burn (i.e. weather), particularly in the Northeast. I don't know what regional weather models are showing, but if Marce...
