The book was not about resistance fighters, or overthrowing the current regime, which is where the show is taking us. The book dealt more with what it was like to live in the conditions of an Axis-won world.

I really wanted to like the pilot, but jeez, that acting is so bad. I'm shocked how many people liked it and gave it glowing reviews. Sure it looks slick, and the concept is great (as all PKD stories are) but the cast or directing (not sure which) is so sub par as to make it nearly unwatchable. And ...

That's depressing to hear. I was 99.999% this movie would suck, but I held out a tiny fraction of hope that it would be good.
The worst part about it is that studios will assume audiences don't like the sc-fi genre and stop making the movies that have the potential to be good. Guess we get to see...
