You can see a ton of stuff in a day. If you haven't been or may not return I would recommend seeing as much as possible. It is a stiff day of walking but worth it. My wife and I did it with three kids in tow.
You can park near the Washington monument and walk and see World War II memorial, r...
| O-T Lounge|| re: Let's talk about swimming pool/water safety - Butterfingers on 5/28/14 at 10:16 am|
We put a pool in when our kids were 6 months,5 and 7. Our oldest two had been on summer swim teams and were good swimmers. They are now 6, 10, and 12 and they swim like fish. So our efforts really centered around the baby.
You can never be too careful and take advantage of every opportunity ...

United flies to XNA ( Northwest Arkansas- Fayetteville,Springdale) It is about a 2 hour drive from there.
I used to go to this place as a kid and enjoyed it. Finally took my kids (11,9,6) last summer and we had a great time. Went to Silver Dollar City and White Water. They have some very go...

My mother has been going to MD Anderson since 1996 for her treatment of Multiple Myeloma (no cure). She has had great results with at MD Anderson. It is without a doubt the best place to go in the world and you will see or meet people from all over the globe there for treatment.

How is this place? We have been to Breck, Keystone, Steamboat, and Loveland.
We usually go to Breck every year but it has gotten so expensive. I really like Breck because the town is right at the base of the mountain and you can walk in ea...

I have coached my kids for several years now and we are u12 this year.
all kids are going to have their strengths and you will want to play them there most of the time but dont typecast a kid in one position. If anything moving them around will let them learn the field a little more and unders...
It is really impossible to do baseball and soccer together once the kids get about 10-11.. so kids have to make a choice... and some just are not good at soccer or do not like it...
I think this is the biggest problem with the year round sport system in place. It does not allow ki...
| Soccer Board|| re: ESPN: Soccer's big Takeover - Butterfingers on 8/1/13 at 1:58 pm|
I agree with the rise in the popularity of soccer. I played soccer all of my life but college football and the nfl are still my favorites, however, I have started watching soccer a lot more than I used to. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes number two in the next 10-15 years.
I think soccer...

I have a 37 inch insignia. It is underneath a patio and is pretty well protected. Been outside for two years with no issues. It is plugged into a standard coaxial cable jack that is wired into my dish reciever inside which had two receivers built in. The one outside uses radio signals so no box out...

A broken one.
If you like to sleep don't get one. Kids have survived in their cribs for centuries without you needing to hear every sound they make.
I broke ours with the second kid and didnt even have one for the third...
| O-T Lounge|| re: boys travel baseball teams - Butterfingers on 6/19/13 at 2:34 pm|
This is the single biggest issue I have with kids lives today. In my opinion, it is way to early for a 7 year old to start focusing on one sport. The way the leagues are setup and the time expectations makes it really difficult for kids to try other things and find out what they really like and are...

My advice is not to get one or an audio one either. You will not sleep well and will be worried about every snort, cough that you hear. I broke our first one after a few months with the first kid. The second and third survived without it and I slept much better. ...

I have a speaker switch that I bought from Radio Shack 10 years ago and it has worked well. It has a selection for A, B, C speakers. Just plug your outdoor speakers to one of these switches and turn off and on as you please. Music sounds good and will actually work on on 3 zones. I have used this...

the only problem with some of the advice that I see is how to win her back. You have got to get out of the this mindset. If everything you do is an act to make her come to her senses then you are going to sit around for months thinking out your strategy and thinking about her. You are going to wo...

Lots of good advice in this thread. I have been through this with an ex. We were together for 4 years and got engaged after she repeatedly stated she wanted to get married. A few months before the weddding she all of a sudden needed her space.
It was very difficult to understand and it took me ...

This guy has volunteered his time to coach your sons team. Offer to be an assistant if you have knowledge that can be shared. Don't complain about his coaching of you don't have the time to do it. He is a volunteer not a paid professional. Teach your son at home and coach his team next year if you...
