re: Virus protection for iPhones and iPads - armytiger96
Not asking for additional info. I called Cox and verified that email came from their security. They said to scan all devices to include Apple products. They indicated that Apple products are susceptible to viruses too. I googled viruses on Apple devices and found that they are susceptible to v...

re: Best way to plan a trip to Italy - armytiger96
I would suggest avoiding Florence on Sun. We went on a Sunday and all of the Mursems closed at noon. Fortunately, we were able to see the statue of David but that was about it....

Virus protection for iPhones and iPads - armytiger96
So I received an email from Cox speculating that I may have a virus and suggested that I run a scan on all of my devices. Do any of you have suggestions for an app for Apple products?...

re: New York Vacation Recs - armytiger96
If you have any interest in military history you could take a day trip to visit West Point. Has an incredible military muesem, Revelutionary War Fort and of course the Military Academy. Metro North offers a bus from Port Authority or you can catch a train from Grand Central to Garrison. Once yo...

re: Industrial tech vs industrial engineering degree - armytiger96
Once they get out of school they do anything that any other engineer does. It is a real engineering degree b/c it requires the same core curriculum that all engineering degrees require such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, statics, etc. I've known three people that have this degree. One is c...

re: FB video of man raising adorable Pitt Bull puppies - armytiger96
Yeah it's the environment that they were raised in and has nothing to do with the fact that the breed was invented to be placed in a pen to fight a bull. I guess by your logic I taught my lab how to fetch....

re: Anniversay dinner in Baton Rouge - armytiger96
If you were considering La Creole then you may want to try Mansur's especially if you like French Market Bistro b/c it's essentially the same menu. Another God restaurant is Louisiana Langiappe. The food the phenomenal, however, you can't make a reservation and it is usually crowded. I saw an...

re: What is a good depth for home swimming pool? - armytiger96
It depends on the age of the kids. My kids are ages six and under so they are still just learning how to swim. They are not of age where they could do many of the activities that you described. I would imagine as they get older they will do many of the same activities that you mentioned only ...

re: What is a good depth for home swimming pool? - armytiger96
To each there own. At my age, I could care less about diving. I would rather have a pool that is suitable for the activities that I enjoy such as basketball, volleyball, swimming laps or hanging out. You're right it is like swimming in a hotel pool which may be boring for you but perfect for me....

re: What is a good depth for home swimming pool? - armytiger96
We have 20x40 goes from 3.5' to 6' which means when the water is at the appropriate level for the skimmer it is around 3' to 5.5' deep. I think the 3' is a bit shallow for swimming laps, but it is perfect for my kids who are still learning to swim. I like the idea of a sports pool where the ...

re: LSU ticket holders reallocating seats for Cajun fans??? - armytiger96
Gold seats are in the rotation. This year a portion of 212 has been allocated to ULL. Didn't really affect us during the Regionals since most of the seats were returned to LSU. Obviously not the case for the SR. For the SR we have SRO only tix and have had gold seats since Skip started them ...

re: Has anyone seen an announcement for the A&M Game day? - armytiger96
Basically the correct answer is what LSUfan stated. The answer that you are looking isn't in what was announced but more in what wasn't announced with regards to LSU. CBS announced that AR vs MO will be the Friday game, which means our game is on Sat and will follow the normal rules determining ...

re: What's y'alls opinion on living in River Bend? - armytiger96
More than likely not. Although some houses in the neighborhood require it. My house didn't require it when I moved in, but when FEMA "recalculated" the Flood Zones a couple of years ago my house required it. The flood zone requirement is not b/c of its proximity to the River but instead due to dr...
