re: LASIK at Williamson Eye Center - armytiger96
Just make sure your prescription has been stabilized before getting the surgery. I had it 10 years ago and now wear glasses again. When I was getting fit for glasses the optometrist told me that it is not uncommon for people to be back in glasses a few months to a year after having surgery b/c t...

re: So about this "no "S" in LSU" article that's been floating around (budget cuts) - armytiger96
So let me get this straight the article states that only 13% of LSU's revenue comes from the state and the worse case scenario is 82% of this 13% will get cut. So the president of LSU expects me to believe that if the LSU system loses 10.7% of its overall budget that the flagship university may h...

re: Lawn Care (weed and feed done by true green/Scott's lawn service?) - armytiger96
I used true green for a few years and just canceled my contract b/c I no longer trust them. I did see improvements in my yard from when they started but I didn't feel like I was getting custom care that was promised when I originally signed up. ...

re: Activities in Rome? - armytiger96
I wouldn't worry about feeling rushed when seeing the ruins. Most of the ruins have been reduced to a pile of rocks. It's been 17 years since I was there, but I remember being let down when viewing the ancient Rome ruins....

re: Activities in Rome? - armytiger96
Spend one day at the Vatican and two days checking out the Roman Ruins. I suggest getting Frommer's Guide for Italy. As someone else mentioned the Pantheon was one of my favorites. If I remember correctly they have a pretty neat square next to it where you can get good food and drinks....

I have had V&V do two residential roofs for me and was happy both times. I highly recommend them. I would advise to avoid Ryson b/c they don't want to compete against others on price....

re: Question about Army Football and Recruiting - armytiger96
You don't get a scholarship instead you get an appointment as many on the board have said. So it's like playing for your high school team. You attend the school and it's essentially an extra curricular activity. They also have open tryouts for anyone in the corps of cadets that wants to try out...

re: OT workout crew: could you pass the West Point Indoor Obstacle Course? - armytiger96
20 years ago yes, barely; today not a chance. The real difficult part is dealing with the asbestos filled air that causes you to develop a hacking cough for a full week after the test. The fun part was watching your classmates fill the puke buckets that are lined up along the wall at the finis...

re: OT interview attire question - armytiger96
If their website states that they pride themselves on casual dress then you will be fine wearing a dress shirt and slacks. Part of selling yourself is demonstrating that you are a good fit for the company culture. So don't dress business formal to a company that prides itself on casual dress. ...

re: OT interview attire question - armytiger96
What's the position? Are you willing to tell us the firm? If it is a national/larger firm you may consider dressing nicer. For most firms you will be fine with a long sleeve dress shirt and slacks. I would recommend having well prepared questions about the organization and the position. This...

re: Thinking about filing an insurance claim on deteriorating roof. Advice? - armytiger96
There was a hailstorm in BR on Dec 23. My roof was replaced last week from hail damage. I live in vicinity of LSU; I don't know if there was any hail in central during this storm. Call Ryson roofing to come out and have a look to see if there is damage. When they try to strong arm you to sig...
