Maybe you're thinking of a coon and the glands on those. Never heard of having to take them out of squirrels.
So, note to self......an enterprising young man has figured out for us that a cheap bag of birdseed can yield the "Berkshire" of squirrel meat. Sounds like a fair trade to me

I'm with a majority of the other people on the board in saying your plants may just be concentrating on growing rather than producing. I would remove any "suckers" around the base of the plant that might be robbing its production energy and also keep in mind that I believe "Creole" types are part of...
| Outdoor Board|| re: Catfish Jugging Bait - PVillePandG on 5/21/14 at 5:47 pm|
Now, this is something I know A LOT about being that's about the only way we ever fished for catfish. The short answer is it depends on where you're fishing and for what type of catfish you're trying to catch. If you're limiting yourself to ONLY what you will find in say, Wal-Mart don't waste time w...

When I first started to date my now wife (married 9 years) her mother and father offered to take us out to eat in order to get to know me better. My wife told me that her Dad was an ex-Marine and currently works as a nuclear scientist (like a real one). That night was the first time I was to meet h...

I agree with the board....definitely not a bear...looks like multiple tracks side by side...looks a lot like rabbit tracks side by side, but very well could be a small doe and fawn....more likely a rabbit though...
| Outdoor Board|| re: Update: Anyone got any good remedies for the ol poison ivy?! - PVillePandG on 9/4/13 at 6:27 pm|
I'm the same way...If I even look at it the wrong way it's on!
The two ABSOLUTE BEST cures for poison ivy is as follows:
1) As already stated, "straight" bleach...use a Q-Tip and put it on the rash/bumps several times a day...It WILL knock the itch and the rash out in less than a week.

Cape Buffalo in Limpopo Province SA....It was literally 20ft away and we couldn't see it...Thank God for excellent trackers..Also charged by a wounded warthog with 13" tusks and came across a few white rhino, but they didn't seem to be too angry with us. ...

Sorry for the confusion...We actually launched at Big Lake and then decided to make the hour and a half long trip to Sabine and fish BECAUSE the lake is so slow right now...lol... In short, like someone said "Sabine/Beach good...lake not so good" :cheers:...

I'll have one of my fiends send me some pics to add/link. As far as size, the majority weren't that big, mainly 12-16 inches...Around 20-30 were 1-2 lbs apiece and our largest was around 5 lbs...the water clarity was the best at Sabine (lots of green water) and the baitfish were STACKED. I've never ...

Had the pleasure of fishing with a couple of guides Friday/Saturday.....the group of us ended up with about 150 specks...Sabine Lake is on fire right now and the beach (provided the water is clear)...the lake/channel provided terrible results during the day; however, we ended up with a couple of lim...
| Outdoor Board|| re: advice on jug lines for catfish - PVillePandG on 4/23/13 at 10:00 pm|
We just always saved our 3 liter coke bottles. We tied a four foot treated nylon (trotline string) section to the lip of the bottle with a standard catfish hook. You simply screw open the lid, drop in the hook and line, and screw back on the top when not in use. That way the strings and hooks don't ...

We used to catch them all the time and just cut the line, until one day I saw a show where they were eating them. I decided to give it a shot. I simply skinned it like a snake, cleaned it, and then fried it just like you would specs. It was actually quite good. Tasted very similar to crab claw meat....

Its all about weight versus caloric percentage...I would suggest making your own MRE's in quart to gallon sized Ziploc bags. For those of you that keep referring to flounder as the best tasting, is it because they are relatively easy to catch with a smaller boat or bay boat and you just haven't tasted the more "deepwater" species, or have you tried most of what's in the Gulf and still rank it that high? Honest question......
