If you're clueless about investing they can provide sound investing advice. Their upfront loads are very high for American Funds which is what they push, but they do have a pretty good track record. If the inspector found something wrong with the AC that wasn't disclosed then that's a different story. The main thing is the plumbing, structure, electrical work in good condition?
