re: Chlorine or salt water pool ? - BullredsRus
You'll have a chlorine pool either way. 4 ways to get a chlorine residual in your water: Bleach, chlorine tablets, Chlorine gas (pretty much illegal now for residential use), and salt with the help of a salt water generator. Salt has a very high PH value and will cause you to go through a lot m...

Fishing in Walden Ponds in BR - BullredsRus
Is it decent? I'm assuming its not public, but I have a very close friend that lives there. So would I be able to be his guest, or do you have to actually own property there? TIA I don't do any fresh water fishing, but would like to try it out. Looking to stay in BR if possible. I would be i...

re: What motivated you to join the military? - BullredsRus
I joined to pay for college. I did reserves. It was a great decision. It paid for school and allowed me to travel a good bit too and see different parts of the world I wouldn't have otherwise seen. So I joined bc there was no TOPS when I graduated high school and I didn't have any scholarshi...

re: Any ideas as to why my deck is covered in fungus? - BullredsRus
Yeah this one tree is right over the deck and it is pretty thick. And I did a thompsons water seal/stain when I first installed it about 4 years ago or so. I'm guessing that needs to be re-applied and is part of the problem along with the thick cover of the water oak right above it....

Any ideas as to why my deck is covered in fungus? - BullredsRus
I have a lot of trees overhead and I am wondering if that's what's causing it. I just notice a lot of green on my wooden surfaces under the trees. It's my deck, and fence too. I've even noticed it on some of my bricks on my house. I've had it power washed somewhat recently, but it keeps coming b...

re: Small business owner here, question about setting up a cafeteria plan for myself - BullredsRus
I spoke with my CPA and he told me that in order to write off my health insurance premiums I'd have to run it through a section 125, or cafeteria plan. So according to my payroll customer service person I can set up that section 125 plan as a deduction from my salary (pretax), or as a contribution ...

Small business owner here, question about setting up a cafeteria plan for myself - BullredsRus
I pay myself a salary, but would like to set up a cafeteria plan that my company would contribute to. Basically it would be the exact amount to cover my health insurance premium. In this example, let's say the premium is $850 a month. If I were to set up a voluntary contribution from the company ...

re: Another reason why real estate > stock market - BullredsRus
Well lets assume a 235K asking price. If you finance 75% at 5% interest that puts your note at just under 950 for principal and interest. I calculated roughly 450 a month for taxes and insurance. So that would net you roughly 500 per month before repairs. I like to have a little more wiggle room...

re: Another reason why real estate > stock market - BullredsRus
I invest in real estate and am happy doing so. Tonight I got a call about a breaker that keeps tripping, and will get it addressed tomorrow. No big deal. I netted about 12K this year off of it. I'm not looking to get rich short term here, but the extra 12K isn't bad. But my goal is to pay it of...

re: Question for NCAA football bettors - BullredsRus
Guy that runs the pool uses his own lines and they're somewhat off from what Vegas thinks. Usually closer than this, but I'll take it. I'm actually getting 1.5 points with FSU in this pool. There are about 130 people in pool and if FSU wins, or loses by 1, then I finish in a 5 way tie for 1st. 1...

Question for NCAA football bettors - BullredsRus
I'm in a pool where I win between 250-1000 if FSU wins tonight. Straight up, no point spread. I win 1000 if total points are between 65-71. Like I said worst I can do is 250 if FSU wins. My local guy is giving me 10 points with Auburn. Would you take the 10 points on Auburn just to hedge bc I b...
