re: No excuse for the sub-inflationary minimum wage - should now be $15 - igoringa
Even if the Walmart earnings figure I cited was off, $16 billion dollars is plenty of money for any one company.
Stop crawfishing - your 'fact' was off by 85% and a 10 year old could have detected that. Please humor me on why I should pretend to consider any other numerical men...

re: Norway deported Muslims. Violent crime dropped 30 percent. - igoringa
Norway deported 824 people. There are a little over 5 million people living in Norway. That's 0.0002% of the population.
Is Math that hard? It is 0.02% - in mocking something statistically, you probably shouldn't be 10,000% off. ...
WALMART earned $120 billion last year. That is more than enough money for them.
LMAO How did this get though without embarrassment last night. Apparently the trust fund out of touch spoiled brat is not aware of what 'earnings' are for a public company. No company has ever...

re: Solo 401(k) Add the Spouse question - again - igoringa
So, if my math is correct your "12% penalty" is $2,640 but you're saving at least $7,000 or more in taxes - just multiply the $26k (22k salary to her plus her portion of the employer contribution) by your tax rate and compare. Your wife's employer contribution should be able to get to about $...

re: Should clean energy be subsidized the same as fossil fuels? - igoringa
My standard is that whether the government collects 1% or 100% in taxes, it should not arbitrarily favor a certain person, corporation, or sector of industry.
So you are against gasoline taxes? Would you not acknowledge that direct arbitrary additional tax dwarfs any perceived sub...
quote: Sales Based Taxes: $30.6 Billion Other Taxes/Duties: $36.4 Billion So presumably this is one of those times where we say it isn't passed through to the consumer?
All taxes are passed on to the consumer - thus we should all remember when filling up that for every $...

Broken record but children's museum is best I have seen and zoo is pretty cool. Unique experience would be to go to Brazos bend park and walk the paths - will see a ton of gators all around you. (And sometimes on te trail). Pretty neat. You pass George ranch on the way if you go Sugar Land route...

The moral equivalency angle is just damaging and BS. If predominantly muslim countries were vibrant democracies with high respect for human rights - then perhaps we can talk in terms of complete isolation of the extremism in a non religious context. But they are not. These countries, as a bas...

Solo 401(k) Add the Spouse question - again - igoringa
I asked this a few months ago and it resulted in a gem of guidance that saved me a ton. But back to the original question - I am curious as to the take of the money wizards. Facts: Solely 401(k) for my single person LLC. This allows me to put $18K + 35K (if income is sufficient) away. How...
