If you till it, then you will still need to smooth it out, so i would find someone with a small tractor with a box and scrape it. I would also take a couple soil samples, you may not need to add soil. Seeding will work, but if you get a lot of rain it will wash some away and you may have to redo. I ...

If you grass is tall, then i would wait until afternoon if possible, no dew will give you a better cut, less clippings on the ground and stuck to your deck. If you must cut in the morning then i would guess after 8am would be fine, but i don't know your neighbors so good luck with that. :lol:...

If you use the ear muffs you do not need to use the flush hose. I'm not 100% on that exact motor you have but the larger Yamaha's most just use the flush hose alon...

i hear ya man, Ive done it several times over the years and works every time, but dont blame you one bit for not wanting to. Only other thing ive done that helped some was get wasp spray and coat the area and holes where they are trying to bore, it will work, but you will have to do it a couple time...
