Martin's have better low end, Taylor's may sound a little brighter on top. For me, it came down to actually playing it and which one you like the most. I have a Martin 16 series acoustic-electric and love it...

The margaritas are very good, but they only serve frozen and not rocks. Know the owners, good people.
