So wait, according to this "coach" our program is in steady decline, yet we are going to reload.
That does not sound like a steady decline. Sure we may take a step back this year because a lack of experience, but this "coach" even says our coaches can develop fundamentally sound players.

I get what you are saying, but if I am NC State I pitch my #3 guy in Friday game. Get the win and Rodon can start Game 1 of championship series. Lose Rodon throws on Saturday then again in Game 3 of Championship series.
If NC State follows that logic you throw Nola against Rodon.

In 93 LSU was in the "have to beat us twice position". LSU was 2-0 and Long Beach was 1-1 LB won the first game then LSU won the second to make it to the championship game.

While I like the thread I think your thinking is flawed.
First off why not reseed 1-8 instead of just the two sides of the bracket.
Secondly, "Bertamns greenhorn theory" is that players needed to go to Omaha to get the experience and then return the following year or years to win it. By that ...

NCAA starts entire side of bracket on same day. Looking at it LSU side will have 2 west coast supers if Oregon wins. That would likely put LSU starting on Sat in slot 5 or 6....

Killing a little time during the game last night I looked at the 86 team schedule in the media guide.
The 86 team was actually 46-9 during the regular season. So why is everyone making a big deal about the win last night. The 2013 team still needs another win to set the record unless I'm miss...

Sucks because its always fun to skull drag Ole Miss. But thinking bigger picture its a good move. Take 1 or 2 from OM and get 1 or 2 in SEC Tourney. Set staff up for regionals, supers, and CWS.
