Since this is about birds.....Yesterday saw my first bald eagle just west of Alex. Spent alot of time in the woods etc., but this was my first. Sucker was about 75 feet up flying over the Hwy to Leesville....huge and beautiful!!...

I was impressed by his camp not being found in 30 years. I dont think there is a place in La (thats public and wooded) you could do that without 10 squirrel or deer hunters walking thru everyday during season....

I've stood under that mammoth (first pic) - I am 6 foot 2 and reaching straight up I could not touch the tusks. And I checked - he was standing on the same level I was. Unbelievable how big they were....

Can you borrow the money from your 401k? I have done that in the past, but was able to pay it back. There is no penalty if you pay it back, however, there is a time period that is relatively short....

I was watching a football game several years ago that had a female in the group broadcast. There was a flag and one of the men asked, "what was the flag for"? The female said it was because the wide receiver forgot to point to the ref and ask if he was off-sides. It got quiet for a while.

Since we are on the subject of coins - I just looked at my silver coins - they are turning color - darker esp the larger ones. I have had them for 20 years and they have been fine. I always assumed you dont ever clean coins - same rule for this? (silver coins turning?)...

I heard the story of Robertson 30 years ago...back then the story was that Robertson was better than Bradshaw but duck hunting was his passion. Several side stories back then as well...that when ducks flew over at practice he would stop what he was doing and watch them until they were out of sight....
