Purdue and Colorado? You have family members go there or something? I read the OP as big time programs that are asleep right now. The most obvious are ND and Miami. Texas, USC and Florida are awaking from short naps (hopefully). UCLA could be huge if the commitment from alumni an...

re: The costs of being fat in America. - TejasHorn
What's really striking is how many young adults (20-35) are chubby or obese nowadays. It's really remarkable the difference from 20+ years ago. There are a lot more distractions than when my peer group was in our 20s. We'd have been lardos too probably....

re: Spaghetti and Chili? - TejasHorn
I don't mind it. They have different names for it up in Cincy like "2-way, 3-way" and such. Chili over rice, which I saw up in here, the other day is terrible. Rice turns chili into a pasty flavor-void mess....

There is a culture of religious fanaticism around OU football. There are exceptions of course but in general you can't tease, trash talk or otherwise banter with them about about OU football. I'd recommend white rock lake/lakewood. A little more laid back than the rest of big D proper and still has the feel of old Dallas. If you're into shiny new apts., trendy restaurants and fresh-from-college crowd... then uptown / west village. All of the suburbs are pretty much the same. Sout...
