re: (Un)broken - TejasHorn
I could tell from the previews the casting is badly off for these characters. Nothing against Jolie. She had her heart behind it I'm sure but just isn't a good director... and apparently a terror to work with....

re: I have never seen "A Christmas Story"... Worth checking out/dvring? - TejasHorn
Gen x'ers (of which I'm one) and after consider it a classic thanks largely to the Turner network marathons. Most over 50 have either never seen it, or consider it a classic. Which says something given the backdrop and setting. Christmas Vacation is the best holiday movie of my generation and i...

re: Kim Jong Un has won the war against "The Interview". Update: Sony cancels relase - TejasHorn
unbroken.. From the previews it looks poorly directed, overacted and mis-cast. Even the bird is a pretty boy. I'll still see it out of respect for a remarkable human being, though. Incredible book and story....

re: I know I'm young...but how did college social stuff work before cell phones? - TejasHorn
Plans were made on the phone or word of mouth. You'd sit around waiting on someone to call if you liked them enough. smart phones, unfortunately, have ruined human interaction and conversation in many settings. Not to mention employers owning our personal lives. It's sad on many levels. But...

re: Who else is excited for Exodus and Unbroken? - TejasHorn
Unbroken is a fantastic story and book. From the previews, I was a little disappointed in the casting. Could sense some over-acting and everyone is a baby-faced pretty boy including the Bird. These guys were hardened, leather-faced products of the depression and years of war....
