re: daddy ball - share your stories here - yaherrdme
In BR with baseball what I find more entertaining than "Daddy Ball".. is the "Academy Ball"...especially at the younger ages before kids hit puberty... kids/parents get bragging rights saying you play for XYZ Academy, then you can do a bunch of cool looking drills that don't really matter for your a...

I think the only tackle program is the All Star Kids... [link=(http://allstarkidsfootball.com/)]LINK[/link] We did it a few years, but our last year, the price had gone up a bit and it was overcrowded, to the point some kids would not make it through some of the stations before the whistle....

re: Player Insurance - Paid for by University - A&M paid 50K - yaherrdme
Is that legal?
Apparently so..
Problem is, many top college athletes still may not have the resources to foot the bill on premiums that could be close to six figures. Texas A&M, though, had researched a newer NCAA rule that offered them some flexibility, where the school...

Player Insurance - Paid for by University - A&M paid 50K - yaherrdme
I may have missed this.. but Texas A&M paid 50K for insurance which helped Ogbuehi return.. this seems like it could be a game changer in College athletics.. I wonder if any of our guys would have stayed over the past few years if LSU paid [link=(http://msn.foxsports.com/college-football/story/te...
In 1990, we had Chris Jackson, Shaq, Stanley Roberts, Vernel Singleton, Mo Williamson - that team should have won it all. Great individual talent, but they never learned to be a TEAM.
You do realize they played together one year...and got knocked out the tournament by a team...

re: Glad slam vs ussssa baseball - yaherrdme
Ummm...no. The set up of the 7u league at Marucci is just awful. It is comprised of 2-3 REALLY good area teams of handpicked players (i.e., have tryouts and cuts) and then 4-5 school teams who have played for a couple of years together.
Hmm...I knew a couple of kids that were just ...
7u next spring
7u Cypress will be fine if you trust the coach.. .also Marucci has a league now for that age, it is only like 100$ and I think the teams are "drafted" so they are basically even... there really is no "instructional" stuff in town for that age right now..
