I was a student at LSU during that time and I somewhat knew the catcher of that team. I went to a few of their games and what I remember was they had poor pitching, made alot of errors.... but they made up for it with even worse hitting....

Turn down a bowl bid because a few high roller contributors were scared of ULM.

Saban won his first Championship at Alabama with Shula's players and the only reason he won another is because Alabama got a second chance because ESPN and ABC wanted a rematch.
