re: Honest question - why are soccer games such sausage fests? - Fratastic423
IMO... Soccer games are not the "event" type of games that other major sports are yet. People are going because they care about the sport and the game itself, not because it is just something to do. You would be hard pressed to tell me that all the women (and men) going to LSU football or an NBA ...

I need to look into it more. I would have to generate a membership list and see how events where nonmembers show up work. Would probably start charging 5 dollars a year for dues to cover the insurance though ...

Yea, I think this is probably too old as well, but I will bring it his way this weekend to take a look at it. On another note, is RSB going to get that club insurance? Open enrollment ends on the 1st and we were thinking about opting in. ...

Does anyone know of someone who could work on a chest freezer? I don't want to just throw it out but feel like it would cost more to fix (at a repair shop) then it is worth. ...

[quote]The Cascade wet hop pale ale I brewed a couple weeks ago has turned out pretty disappointing. I used 6 ounces of them at both 10 minutes and flameout hoping to get some nice flavor/aroma out of them. Tasted after fermentation had finished, and it was a very bland beer. So I dry hopped with 2 ...

So it appears that I lost my lager chest freezer this past weekend. It climbed up to 67 for the diacetyl rest and didn't go back down. Hopefully it broke then and not when my lager was fermenting. The Vienna lager tasted fine before the diacetyl rest so here's to hoping. I did buy a ton...

re: What should I know about the Sierra Nevada beer camp beers? - Fratastic423
It is 12 collaboration beers from Sierra Nevada and 12 highly regarded breweries across the country. I have not had them, but from looking at the list, the breweries decided to not play to their strengths so I hear it is a bunch of meh. ...

re: Homebrewing: In-Process Thread - Fratastic423
Things Frat learned this week: 1. If you pitch enough yeast into a lager, it will still ferment really quickly at 50 degrees. Brewed on Saturday, moved to a diacetyl rest yesterday as the wort had dropped to 1012. 2. I need friends to split brew days with me, brewing 10 gallons is too easy no...
