The only reason a transvaginal ultrasound has been introduced was to pay off medical device manufacturers.
this makes no sense

I have seen this practiced with stillborns from time to time as well. Strikes me as very creepy, and I personally would not be into it for myself or my wife. There are even photographers that do fancy portraits of the deceased in mothers arms. None for me, thank...
what is the point of an ultrasound anyway if you're just going to kill the child anyway?
my impression is that the state legislators believe that if the woman has to confront the reality of seeing the living human inside of her body, she will feel worse and perhaps reconsider
what is a situation when the vagina method should be used over the standard method?
if your goal is just to inflict guilt upon a baby killer, and make her feel worse about her abortion, then there is no need for a TV after about 7-8 weeks. Prior to that, TV may be necessary to se...

Here's another wrinkle for the PT to chew on:
Transabdominal ultrasound requires a full bladder, to provide a sonographic window for an adequate view of the uterus. TA with an empty bladder is often useless. U/S waiting rooms are often full of uncomfortable women drinking cups of water.
abdominal ultrasound is not always sufficient
sufficient for what?
sufficient to make the woman feel bad about killing her baby? That is not a medical reason.
Obviously, TV is vastly superior to TA for depicting first trimester fetal anatomy, detecting anomalies et...
“We require in various states to do trans-vaginal ultrasounds before abortion, which by every state law, the involuntary introduction of an object into a woman’s vagina is rape, so in certain states we are requiring physicians to rape their patients,”
What Im wondering is why/how would they do this. It must have been a pre-demolition situation.
There is no way to use the magnet anymore with all that stuff in there. And there is no "off" button on a superconducting magnet. The only way to kill the field is to release the liquid helium ("quen...

things like titanium, lead etc are fine
That video is a 4T magnet btw. Noone has those in real medical practice. Most machines in hospitals and imaging centers are 1.5T or less. Some have 3T.
