re: LSU CPA exam rate ranked 8th nationally - Debaser
Hired a recent CPA exam passer and grad at $52K at a small firm a year ago. Non-passers would be offered closer to $43K with good grades. That's the market in South LA, but it will probably contract to flatten with the downturn in the oil economy. Experienced CPA's (non-owner)are paid $75 to $1...

re: Why is ProBoil so frowned upon here? - Debaser
My deal against pro boil is not the flavor - it is the salt. I like to add salt after I cut the heat, which improves the way the crawfish cook and peel. I rarely have to do more than 1 sack at a time, so this method works for me. ...

re: Got 2lbs. of fresh Royal Reds - Debaser
Where would one procure Royal Reds in Louisiana? I live in Terrebonne, but I only see white and brown shrimp here. I get Royal Reds when I am on the Gulf Coast in AL and FL, but I never see them in this area. I know they are deep water - but I never see them here. Someone must catch them local...

I'm excited for them. The brewer is a former botany professor at Nicholls. The other other owners - one is a neurosurgeon and the other is a banker. I know the banker the best of all 3. The beer is good - at least for my taste and I've had them a few times. I know that Crescent Crown is buying e...

re: Bacon grease for roux - Debaser
I've used the store bought dry roux and mix in some bacon grease. No need to strain. I go half and half on bacon grease to veg oil. I've made roux from scratch and used the store bought variety. I like the store bought better to tell the truth. More consistency, etc......

I went to the NOLA show at the Civic and it was really, really good. I love seeing bands in the smaller setting. With apologies to festivals, your music experience leaves a lot to be desired....

re: SNL Ferguson skit - Debaser
I like the new SNL. I like the old SNL. I've pretty much been on board with SNL except for when Lorne Michaels left during the 1980s. This gets the Debaser stamp of approval. Funny and unsettling. I think they did not air it because of the opener with Keenan Thompson as Al Sharpton - which...

Mrs Debaser and I were in attendance. Boucherie pork belly Reuban, BBQ Shrimp PB, and some other pulled pork with slaw PB. All of them were good to guite good. The lines for GW Fins and Parkway were crazy. We spent time in Ale and Maple Leaf. Both were fine by me. Ale was obviously a lot clean...

Last January during the "Arctic blast" he had one of his famous - we interrupt the other shitty programming that was supposed to air during this time slot to bring you - the Martin Folse Arctic Blast Call In Special. Well - he was successful before from his TV station, so he has done very well for a very long time. He does a lot of "bartering" where he will pay vendors in kind with advertising, production, etc. He was also an investor in a very successful motion picture that made him and lot of others in Houma...
