| Tiger Rant|| re: Am I the only one who's not convinced this D is elite? - r2d2 on 9/16/14 at 1:33 pm|
No question competition will get much stiffer and no D will hold up if their counterpart goes 3 and out too often. Still back to back shutouts in this day and age are nothing to snooze about. Sam Houston had some plays open that their QB missed, but ULM just couldn’t get anything going because the ...
| SEC Rant|| re: Bigger shocker Ala losing to Fla or LSU losing to Miss St - r2d2 on 9/15/14 at 8:21 pm|
LSU probably has better players but MSU has its share of good ones and a ton more experience. If MSU is ever going to beat LSU this is the year so UF winning at Nama is bigger shocker IMO....
| SEC Rant|| re: REMINDER: Texas A&M was outgained in total yardage by Rice. - r2d2 on 9/15/14 at 11:13 am|
Frick A&M and I did not see the game, but if Rice ran that many plays the yardage given is not alarming. Actually allowing just 10 points is fairly solid....
I know this might be hard to believe, but cfb actually existed before 2000.
I don't get this either. At this point in time 1998 is as distant a memory and as little indicative of the current state of affairs as say 1938.
Hey...I was not saying LSU couldn't contend or would not contend. But don't you think based on the two games both teams have played that they have every right to be as optimistic as LSU?
No doubt see my first post in this same thread and several others I have made this season. A&...
Since we are on the topic of flawed logic. Why are you using past seasons results to predict future games
I am not and I even said it up front. The point was not score predictions but fan confidence.
LSU has beat A&M in 3 straight games, 2 of 3 blowouts, 2 or 3 in their state....
So? They lost one more game than you. And you lost as many if not more players than they did.
You forgot to say the one extra loss was a direct 34-10 drubbing in a game LSU didn't play all that well.
Not predicting the future just pointing your flawed logic leaving important ...

It is not completely out of nowhere since A&M has been recruiting well but sometimes it just happens that a team comes together. Many dominating championship caliber teams were not preseason Top 10 but very early show signs of being special.
Now A&M at this point has not done enough to be direct...
| SEC Rant|| More games and channels less teams you get to see - r2d2 on 9/8/14 at 4:39 pm|
It seems now that just about every game involving an SEC team is on TV I get to watch fewer games than before. It used to be you had the early JP game, the CBS game and 1 or 2 ESPN night games. Since not much else was o TV you got to see most teams play games not just highlights. Now you have most ...
| Tiger Rant|| re: Tim Fletcher's point this morning - r2d2 on 9/8/14 at 11:31 am|
One of the best SEC QB's ever Danny Wuerfell had average arm strength, yet his timing and decision making was superb.
Plenty of QB's with bigger arms but few if any have been better.
AJ has a better arm and is more mobile. I like his development so far....
offense gives Chavis a problem. No idea why it's just a fact.
| SEC Rant|| re: Defensive success against HUNH - r2d2 on 9/5/14 at 12:50 pm|
It’s a different era of College Football. Teams just run so many more plays and have athletic players in the backfield and perimeter that make one guy miss and get chunks of yards.
It is mind boggling that A&M’s QB passed for 500+ yds in his first career start in a game they were pretty much in...
| SEC Rant|| re: Calm the frick down on A&M - r2d2 on 9/1/14 at 3:06 pm|
I dislike A&M as much as anyone... But truth is based on everybody's first game they looked the best along with UGA. Still ways to go and others will improve, but it is more logical to base things on an actual game than on some pre conceived notions made in June.
| SEC Rant|| re: A&M vs USC a bigger rivalry than A&M vs LSU? - r2d2 on 8/27/14 at 1:04 pm|
You have to beat a team at least once in 19 years to be considered a rival. LSU has won multiple National Championships, Conference Championships and major bowls in the last 10-15 years.
Aggies are perennial pretenders they fit better as rivals with Carolina.
| SEC Rant|| re: On what basis does anyone think A&M has a chance tomorrow? - r2d2 on 8/27/14 at 10:58 am|
Frick A&M but they have a realistic shot at this game. Carolina should be a good team but hardly unbeatable....

Lebron James is probably to tall for soccer, but I get the point. Honey Badger, Reggie Bush, athletes of that caliber playing soccer imagine that.
Make no mistake about this: the US has already made ENORMOUS progress in soccer the last 25-30 years. ...
