They're actually pretty loud. And as you can see, 1250fps is faster than the speed of sound, so the pellet itself will have quite a report. I used to shoot one in my backyard when I was younger but my yard was pretty big.
Also, those guns are brutal on scopes. They produce a lot of inte...

 | re: Any local shops sell rod wrapping thread? - Tbobby on 2/26/13 at 7:28 pm I'm sure BPS and Cabelas have it but it is hard to find. Look in the fly tying section. Academy has a very limited selection-only a few colors. You need nylon guide wrapping thread, not waxed. Waxed is used for tying flies. You'll also need some flex-coat epoxy, an electric rod turner and a hair dry...

 | re: Looking for a bonsai tree in BR - Tbobby on 2/21/13 at 1:40 pm Azaleas make terrific bonsai and you can easily find an old one growing in someones yard. So how do you start. I would love a cypress. Just find a seedling 4" tall. Put in pot. Water daily and trim[/quote]
You can do that. I'd wire the trunk in an "S" shape.

 | re: Looking for a bonsai tree in BR - Tbobby on 2/21/13 at 12:57 pm A deciduous tree might come back if topped. An evergreen won't. If you want a bonsai, your best bet is nursery stock or an old hedge row (with permission of course). You need to learn pruning and wiring techniques. Keep it in a large pot so you don't have to water it so often.
