re: Just ordered a RBZ TP.... - unctiger
Tiger is playing a VR tour stamped 8.5 lofted head. It is true lofted 11.25* and 2.66* open. It will play about 9.5* effectively. He has a GD DI6X that is tipped 1.5" at 45.25" long. There was a pic of his specs on golfwrx a few months ago. Depending on ball speeds and course conditions, to maxi...

re: New kickoff coverage Like it or not? - unctiger
actually it doesn't. aside from the ones we're kicking in the end zone we haven't done a very good job of covering kick-offs
The coverage has been pretty good. The problem was the depth against Miss State and NW State. LSU is ranked 14th at 17.18 per return. [link=(http://www.n...

re: Bubba Watson hits a tee shot out of Sanford Stadium - unctiger
I guessed about 180 yards, but the problem is the height. Most tour players hit the ball about 90-100 feet at the peak. If the stands are 180 yards and 75 feet, you have to carry a ball about 220 to comfortably carry it out of the stadium. The bet for Bubba would be a 7 or 8 iron depending on the di...

re: Golfers - Anyone used a Belly Putter conversion kit? - unctiger
It looks like a good concept, but it has a major problem. It will mess up the swingweight (balance) of the putter. Belly putter heads are about 50 grams heavier than the standard putter and you cannot add enough lead tape to bring the swingweight back up. ...

re: Which wedges provide the best spin? - unctiger
All wedges that conform to the new groove rules will spin the same. If they spin more they do not conform. The USGA provided groove limits to the equipment manufacturers and they designed wedges to those specs. However when the USGA tested the new clubs, many were deemed illegal because the spun too...

re: How to fix a slice? - unctiger
To fix a slice or hook you have to understand what makes the ball start where it does and what makes it curve. Closing the clubface at impact will not fix a slice. It will just make the ball start further left and the ball will still slice. Without getting technical, clubface at impact will deter...

re: What putter do you have? - unctiger
For those of you with a Scotty do you think it makes you a better putter? I've always assumed that if you're a great putter then you can putt with anything. I can see how a Burner Superfast 2.0 can help you hit better drives than the original Big Bertha but it just seems to me that technology...

re: Las Vegas Golf Recommendations - unctiger
Then you want to play Legacy. TPC is about 30 -35 minutes without traffic from the rental car place. Legacy is about 10-15 minutes and you will not have to worry about traffic. To be honest I would take a cab and just go to Legacy. It may be a little more, but you will not have to deal with the rent...

re: Las Vegas Golf Recommendations - unctiger
Depending on where you are staying, Angel Park and Badlands are just as close as Legacy. If you are going straight to the course from the Airport, Legacy will be closer. I would play Legacy over Angel Park or Badlands. The courses in Summerlin get more play and tend to be SLOW. Badlands has some goo...

re: Las Vegas Golf Recommendations - unctiger
Legacy is pretty good and have played in many times. They rates vary so much, and I do not know how much it is because locals get out there cheap. I would not pay more than $40-50 to play there. It is nice, but not worth $75-$100. Paiute is also nice, but just as far as Primm. Primm is just as good ...

re: Las Vegas Golf Recommendations - unctiger
St George is 2.5 hours from Las Vegas. DO NOT play Wildhorse. It is an ok layout, but it is in bad shape. It really depends on what you are looking to spend. I think around $125 you can play Dragon Ridge (Hendserson) in the afternoon which is private and holds the local US Open qualifier every year ...

re: 100th ranked LPGA golfer vs Scratch male golfer - unctiger
A male scratch golfer playing Kiawah's 6200 yard tees will average 70.9 20% of the time and will probably have a total average 75. The LPGA player with a total average (not 20%) of 74 is probably a +2 or +3 because the average rating is probably 73-75 on most course. ...
