Something is not adding up. I cannot imagine her company could mandate that 401k contributions go toward company stock. Have you confirmed this with a quick phone call to Wells Fargo?

My older model Weber Genesis is a good 15 years old. It's a quality grill and has held up well. I use it regularly and have replaced the starter, flavorizor bars, grates and burners a few times. They are pricey but are a lot cheaper than buying a new grill every few years.
