How can this be one of college footballs most iconic traditions, when the rock hasn't even been on campus but since 1966. Hell, I'm 47 years old. There are high schools with richer tradition than that.

While travel ball is more competitive than most Rec ball, its not nearly what it was 5-10 years ago. Originally it was called select ball and each state may have had 6 teams. Tell the parents not to approach you after a game if they're pissed. Wait 24 hours to call you. It's my number one rule and have been coaching kids for 20 years. Leave nothing to chance with your team and parent rules. If you let them know up front what you expect you will avoid a ton of shite later ...
