The one obviously confusing aspect in all this is that the FBI had interview the family a year and a half ago, no doubt had a file on them, and yet they had to ask the public to identify them?
Would see to me the first thing they would do is go through the files and see who the likely suspects ...

It's the same reason Fox News continues to do so well. When everything on tv is either not aimed towards the older, Rural, Conservative, Middle America crowd or is outright hostile to that demographic, then when a show comes along that aimed towards that, they have no choice but to watch.
