Never used that before. How does that compare to real hog casings? Could you grill it or cook on stove top? After cooking, are the casings soft and edible?

Friend turned me on to their Tender Tails. It is the end pieces of the tenderloin that are not pretty enough to sell to restaurants. Normally 2-3 Filet tails are vacuum sealed in individual pack...

I've bought the Deep South Green Onion and Cajun sausage seasonings at Don's Supermarket in Reserve. Can also get casings there as well.

One of my favorite childhood meals. I cooked it for my in-laws and they could not grasp the concept that it was a dish with potatoes AND rice. They stopped in route to our house and bought some fried chicken "just in case".... :lol:
Mom would put shrimp in it on occasion.
