Stayed several times with kids at the Coronado Marriott resort. It is directly across the bay from the San Diego Harbor hotels & shopping areas. Hotel has a water taxi to take you across, and a larger ferry is a short walk up the shore. Hotel is also close to supermarket and multiple restaurants...

Chicken Dumplings/Pot stickers at the Fresh Market Deli. They need to be cooked - steamed, pan fried or even... microwaved. Comes with good dipping sauce.
I've had them at multiple places in town and cooked my own. The Fresh Market ones are damn good....

Here Santa gets boudin / crackers and a Dr. Pepper. He gets cookies and milk everywhere else and enjoys the change up. :nana: 40 years ago my Santa got the same along with an ice cold Dixie.
Carrots are left out for reindeer and chewed bits are left on ground outside as if they fell from roof....
