Get trip insurance, it's cheap and worth it if you're rolling the dice on a natural disaster. Best thing to do is wait till one hits then book a trip like 2 weeks after when it's cheap as shit, those places recover pretty quickly. ...

Why did so many of you end up trying to go to bars downtown? Just curious if somebody recommended that. Midtown is much more bar friendly area where there are maybe 15 watering holes within walking distance. Only time I would ever go to a bar downtown is if I have to meet someone who is staying d...

Yea, it's probably 5 hrs time change from orlando which isn't too bad. That time of year it's gonna be pretty getting cold in london. We went to southern spain last October and it was pretty much perfect weather. Flew into Madrid and went down to Seville and Cordoba, pretty awesome trip. Another ...

I work overseas constantly and would strongly recommend doing a "quick trip" to a country with a 7 hr time change. It's going to take you 3 days just to get adjusted to the time difference if you really force yourself and then by the time you are enjoying it you will have to leave and do the same t...

Not sure where you are flying from, but I live in houston and if we are taking a quick trip we go down to Tulum, Mexico. It's a real quick flight to cancun, have a driver lined up to take you just over an hour to Tulum. Gorgeous beaches. very cool, safe little town. Mayan ruins on the beach, only...

We were usually stay up the hill from downtown either capella or other places in pedregal. I've never had a problem walking past the street cabo wabo is on down to the marina and around to senior frogs. All the downtown area is pretty safe. If you see open restaurants and bars you are probably ok...

Fishing with Pisces or Redrum if you like to fish. Most restaurants along the marina are pretty good. Mi Casa is close to cabo wabo, really good authentic mexican place. All the bars are about the same, if you want to party you will probably have to pay a cover (pink kitty, senior frogs, etc.) but...

Everybody has their opinions on Tex-mex in houston, I prefer el tiempo. Their filet fajitas are the best in town IMO.
For a nice dinner try pappas steakhouse or Vic & Anthony's. There are tons of fancy places like underbelly, reef, uchi, etc. But if you just want a great steak at a nice plac...

Yea i completely agree with you about the martini. If i'm sitting down at dinner I'm perfectly fine with the martini glass, but for moving around at a bar I'll get it on the rocks. If at a bar i'm probably drinking them fast enough to keep them from watering down. ...
