2 pounds per week. It is marathon not a sprint. You want to lose as much fat and as little muscle as possible. If you are dieting you really should do weight training as well to help preserve and maintain muscle tissue. ...

It wasn't that hard. I still ate eggs and cheese along with protein shakes. Ate a good bit of meat subsitutes like seitan....

I don't have a problem. I actually think it is a great idea and commend you and your friends for making a positive change in your life. I just find it hard to believe that a former collegiate strength coach would believe he could have a net gain of 15 pounds of lean muscle mass in merely 90 days....

Especially if he has a history of working out like he says. If he was new to working out he would make significant gains(not 15 pounds of muscle in 3 months) but a experienced lifter will make very minimal gains in that timeframe....
