The US was the ONLY industrial power in the world at that time. Japan and Europe was in shambles.
Great Britian was drained dry and it took decades for the industrialized world to recover.
A kid could graduate high school and walk into a pretty solid job and have a good middle-class life.

The demographic's of the US are against this. We have an aging populace and the US birth rates are extremely low.

Yep, the young'uns aren't signing up in droves like they said obama-scam would need in order to be successful.

Look at a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle.
Not a 'tacti-cool' rifle but man, a great little rifle. Only gripe I have is that you have to use Ruger mags, other than that, a solid rifle.
Smith & Wesson has a great semi in the M&P 15. The big names are taking notice of this bad boy.

Way too often, a kid with good talent will get stars in their eyes with the bigger colleges recruiting them.

I am seeing 22 right now on counter tops in stores now.
I walked into Acadmey in West Monroe and they had about a dozen boxes of 50 count for sale for about $6/box. Still high but I am seeing it on stores where I didn't see it just a month ago.
Supply is slowly catching up with demand....

I am not a fan of flushing a high mileage transmission.
The friction plates, o-rings and paper gaskets are very susceptible to the solvents in trans flushes.
You run the risk of opening up a can of worms. Just change the fluid & filter. ...
