re: FBD overcast sunday - 8thyearsenior
I usually go to the store with what I want in mind so I go straight after it and check the date. Anything up to 6 weeks is fine IMO. If the beer is fading that fast then it probably wasn't good to begin with. Double Jack is still really good at 3 months and Dales is still pretty good at that date. I...
louisiana has old beer all over shelves everywhere
It's not just there, it's a problem everywhere. I find 6 month old or older Dales all over up here. I hate having to decipher some of the different codes but if i like the beer fresh I will figure it out. If no code or date I will...

I will not buy a hoppy beer that doesn't have a date on it. If you don't put a bottling date or best by date where i can track the bottling date then you are a bad brewery in my eyes. In a perfect world all beer reps would require stores to pull their hoppy beers form shelves after 3 months or so....

NBD-2014 edition. I think this is great and will check to see if I have another because it is drinking very well now. The spices have mellowed some but are still prominent. I may wait to next fall if I have another but no longer. I am a big fan of big thick stouts like this, I am so disappointed whe...
I just needed a good RIS.
Is Clown Shoes making good beers now? We had them in CO a couple years ago and other than catchy names they had nothing going for them. I think they lasted all of 3 months here. I know Ben at Brash(Petrol Owner) used to or still might do all his brewing at...

Dark Truth is just a tad under 10%, where Darkness is just a tad over 10%. 08-09 Darkness is just about the best beer in the world. Dark Truth not so much. Not many beers do well after year #2. A lot of stuff just falls apart like you said and I usually find that sours turn to vinegar. I'm really...

Backcountry Pizza in Boulder has one of the best tap list anywhere. Food is good, you can do better but its pretty good. The new Avery place has everything on tap and has food now, I haven't been yet. Oskar Blues in Lyons is having their 18th Annv party tomorrow, I know they are tapping and maybe se...

That would be a steal in Denver, it is over $30 a foot here. I couldn't believe how insanely high fencing is. I built a 15' section myself and it came out to about $14 a foot I think with screws, concrete, and lumber....

re: How is Cooter brown's? - 8thyearsenior
Many years ago Cooter Brown's used to be the go to craft beer bar in the city and had the best cheese fries around. I haven't been there in a long long time but it used to be great. They also used to have $5 Abita pitchers on Tuesdays....
Does Colorado use the 3-tier system, or is he able to self distribute?
Wits End doesn't distribute. The only place you are getting his beer is at the brewery or at a festival he is pouring at. Colorado is very friendly with its liquor laws, the governor started Wynkoop years a...
