re: Houston Rodeo Eats...... - Melleaux Tiger
Skip all of the BBQ/Sausage places and the chain places (Pappasito's, etc.). I'm not against the chains, in fact I'm a huge Pappasito's fan, but their booths at the rodeo don't live up to the actual restaurants. Here's my pick: [link=(http://www.forum-polonia-houston.com/?p=15852)]Polonia's[/link]...

Need Opinions on PA Mains - Melleaux Tiger
I am just beginning to research investing in a PA for the cover band I am in and I need opinions from those in the know on live sound. One of our members and his PA parted ways with us and we've been using some old Yamaha passive speakers in our recent gigs. They sound fine but they are HUGE and b...

re: When I plug my coax into my DVR, my speakers HUMMMMMM - Melleaux Tiger
I had a similar issue at one time with my plasma TV having a scrolling bar going from bottom to top. Granted it was a video problem rather than audio, but the solution may be the same. Turns out it was a ground loop and this fixed it: [link=(http://www.amazon.com/Viewsonics-VSIS-EU-Cable-Ground-I...

re: Never seen Leonard Fournette highlights? This thread is for you. - Melleaux Tiger
I've just really begun to look at his highlights, but it seems like on every touchdown he slows down before he hits the goal line. Obviously, he knows he's getting in but it looks like he does it even if there is a defender right near him. Serious question, is this something a coach would look at ...

re: OT Electricians/Pool Guys - Wiring Question - Melleaux Tiger
No, you got this. Its simple, just figure out what voltage its powered at by looking at the breaker that feeds the timer. If its 1-pole it 120V, if its 2-pole it 240V.
The breaker is two-pole, so it's 240. Should be fine then? Should I get a meter on it at this point?...

re: OT Electricians/Pool Guys - Wiring Question - Melleaux Tiger
I found this manual. If its the same model, you need to figure out if the timer/pump is powered 240V or 120V and connect your control panel accordingly. If powered 240V, you should be fine connecting the reds to the black and the black/yellow in any order. If powered 120V, you need to re-wire...

re: OT Electricians/Pool Guys - Wiring Question - Melleaux Tiger
Yes, there is a wiring schematic, but it just mentions black --> Load 1, black/yellow --> Load 2. All I have is two pure red wires coming from the timer (no white) and a green ground. So, what I'm not sure of is if there is a difference between the two reds or if I can connect either one to the bl...
