re: UConn building dorm for black men only. - mallardhank
This will be as successful in bringing the marginal students up to par as the mindset that insists that black elementary and high school students be taught by subpar black teachers that graduated from excuses of black colleges. They can't read and write so how the hell can they teach it. The out o...

re: What is THE Best BBQ Joint You Have Ever Been To? - mallardhank
Old Hickory House in Tucker, Ga. Last store of the small family chain still open. Best Brunswick stew anywhere. That place in Pearland is nothing to sneeze at. Auburn Rib Shack, closed eons ago, downtown Atlanta. Great place on Saint Simons Island. Wish I could remember the name, was on a ...

re: Sako A7 - mallardhank
Thanks for the responses. The Sako 85 in Atlanta is $1800.00, so I don't want one that bad. I'll shop around for the A7 a little longer-nows a good time of year to shop for deals on deer guns. Now and again I get lucky and chance upon a great deal - you gotta jump when the gettings good....

Any one here have experience with this gun? I know you guys like the Tikka, but is the A7 worth the extra money. Fluted barrel, aluminum bedding block, supposedly better trigger and better composite stock. I have no Sako or Tikka experience. Thanks guys....

re: Modern day Civil War: Hypothetical. - mallardhank
There's more folks up north that feel and think the same way we do than you would believe. Factor in the military and it would be over faster than you could imagine. I lived in maine for two years and outside of a bunch of ugly-ass women that love the Muslim every guy I met was very conservative a...

re: Anyone watching Gold Rush - mallardhank
Parker has been mining all his life. Learned from grandpa, which puts him light years ahead of fatass bible thumpers. Fatass has two guys that know their shit; he and his old man sure as hell don't. Believe show is Todds idea, that's why he's still on. All that equipment and fuel eats into the b...

re: BP to slash more jobs - mallardhank
Ditto to the post regarding the guy not taking the buyout package. Know a guy offered by telephone company years ago. Turned it down thinking the deal would be sweetened. Showed up for work one week later, security guard and empty cardboard box waiting at his desk. Walked him to the door. Got z...

re: Tiger Stadium Dorms - mallardhank
Lived in North for one year, starting in fall of 1967. Took time to get used to open showers and toilets with low partitions between. Two to a room, lived on third floor. Had a shotgun and 22 target pistol in room, hall proctors and campus police just said keep in cases and don't screw around. ...

re: OT, help me chose a new Lithium Drill - mallardhank
I'll repeat myself from earlier posts on this same topic: I am a retail build out superintendent and travel all over the country. The vast majority of battery tools on these jobs are Makita, followed by Dewalt. After that Milwaukee with very few Ridgid. No Bosch. These are tools that are used c...

re: New Orleans to see 200% increase in armed robberies and carjackings by years end - mallardhank
In New Orleans earlier this year. Called police, said I had a carry permit from Georgia and asked for any parameters for carrying in the quarter. Officer told me to shoot first and ask questions later. Honest to God truth. We had a good laugh. Great cop. God bless him and any officer that work...

re: Best power tool brand - mallardhank
I am a retail construction superintendent and work all over the US. Drywall framers use their battery tools more than any other trade, all day every day. I never see Ryobi, Bosch or Milwaukee. Seldom see Ridgid. Dewalt and Makita are predominant. The white Makita Impact driver used to be just abo...
