re: Homebrewing: In-Process Thread - LSUGrad00
I ended up with the St Paul, MN region. I'm sending three entries; an IPA, a DIPA, and a Barleywine. It's 3 days ground shipping to St Paul which isn't horrible, but what does kind of suck is that region isn't judging until over a month after the entries are received (March 9th to April 15th). ...

re: Homebrewing: In-Process Thread - LSUGrad00
So was planning on brewing an IPA today, unfortunately FedEx lost a package with two of the hops (Columbus & Centennial) I needed for the recipe. Instead of canceling the brew day I replaced them with a combo of Galaxy and more Citra... S...

re: Frozen 2 liter bottles in a crawfish boil - LSUGrad00
Considering the plastic used in most bottles doesn't begin to melt until ~480ºF, boiling water at 212ºF will do nothing to the bottle.
This is true, when the bottle is filled with ice. On the other hand I've seen people pour near boiling liquid into a 6 gallon PET carboy and it...
screw him mom for this
Yeah, screw this kids mom for wanting to see her kids play every weekend at a major university that's essentially in their backyard. How selfish of her... LSU fans and coaches uses this same 'stay at home so family can see you play' line on recruits ALL th...
Why do something like that?
bc they are 17 year old kids with a ton of pressure put on them by family, friends, and complete strangers who feel like they should have input into some random kids life because he can play ball? Kids stayed home... it sucks that he flipped, but shi...
Which one did you do? I have the conical so I obviously want to pull from the bottom.
I pull from the bottom. Before pitching my yeast I dump the trub, any hop particals, and break material out the bottom. So when I'm ready to pull the yeast it's clean and healthy. I've s...
