 | Post-season track times thread - CourseyCorridor on 4/18/13 at 2:46 pm I know I started a thread earlier on this, but this week are the district meets in Louisiana, meaning kids have been training to "peak" in these next three weeks.
With newspapers sort of falling apart these days, results have been hard to get. I saw a tweet (can't find it now, off hand, saw it la...

 | Football prospects in track and field meets - CourseyCorridor on 3/22/13 at 12:12 pm We've got a bunch of prospects at the Sugar Bowl meet at Gormley this weekend.
Fournette is in the sprints and the relays.
Noil is in the broad jumps (long and triple) and in the 4x100 (not the same leg as Fournette).
I saw Kevin Spears in one of the jumps.
Dupre is in the high jump.

 | Best RBs in Louisiana history, pre Fournette (more candidates added) - CourseyCorridor on 2/9/13 at 1:33 pm Rank 'em, then tell us where you'd put Fournette in relation. Tell us your criteria (straight up high school player, college prospect, etc.).
Let's reserve judgement for Fournette until his body of work is complete. Personally, I think talk of him being No. 1 is premature.
Below is a starting ...

 | Any chance for Barbe? - CourseyCorridor on 11/25/12 at 3:11 pm Seems like Barbe/West Monroe is the best matchup this week, especially if you want to see Blue Chip talent (Quinn, Smith, Robinson).
A few questions:
1. Anybody think Barbe has a legit shot? I can only remember Barbe beating West Monroe once and that was back when Barbe had Slade Nagle, Joe La...

Only quibble is with portion for the price. Not a ton of food. Could have ordered a la carte...

 | WR v. DBs One-on-One highlights - CourseyCorridor on 7/7/12 at 12:21 pm Interesting people on LSU's radar here like Ricky Seals-Jones, Will (apparently not so) Likely, Artie Burns, Priest Willis, and Goodman along with Brazil.
Seals-Jones doesn't look fast to me. Willis gets beat. Brazil gets beat, but on another play makes a nice PBU.

 | Working on the 4th, where to pick up barbeque - CourseyCorridor on 7/4/12 at 10:32 am Unfortunately for us, both my wife and I are working on this 4th of July, so there will be no firing up the grill.
So...anybody wanna suggest where I might pick up some barbeque for lunch today for us (in BR of course, SE BR would be preferred)?
I'm leaning toward Whole Foods right now.

 | NOLA as a coffee town - CourseyCorridor on 6/13/12 at 12:11 pm With the Port of New Orleans being the major coffee port in the US (a coffee-centric friend told me something like 80 percent of the world's beans come through that port), New Orleans is probably one of the underrated coffee cities in the US.
