Got this toolbox about a month ago and stripped it down to bare metal and primed/painted it. Didn't want to spend $120 on powder coating.
All rust gone and bare metal
2 coats of primer
3 coats of gloss black enamel

I have a 0.25" thick bracket that I am gonna weld to a 14ga toolbox later this afternoon. It is the type that a D-ring goes inside so that you can hook stuff to it.
I wont be able to get in there to paint it after I weld it on because there is only about 3/8ths clearance once it is welded flush....
