It resets the surge protector and will not run. Any advice on how to get around this cheaply?
-For a converted garage/man cave...about 600 sq ft.
ETA: The surge protector I'm speaking of is the built in one on the ac plug.

I'm looking for an example of any item in the construction field or really anything in general that contains forces of tension on each end and compression in the middle.
<----20 kips --->5 kips <-----10 kips ---->50 kips
I considered using a turnbuckle but there wouldnt be any compress...
