Considering I make too much for an Ira and the company I work for does not match my 401k. Would it be wise for me to just Max out my 401k or should allocate some of that money to a traditional non tax sheltered account?...

You can be upset about the penalties to the PSU football program but I applaud that they allowed the current players to transfer without penalty or keep their scholarship as long as they met the academic requirements of the university....
