Lonerider - Shotgun Betty: a 5.6 Hefeweizen I am not the biggest wheat fan, but this was very good and worth a try.
Sixpoint - Sweet Action: a 5.2 It is apparently a "blend" of pale ale, wheat and cream ale. Also worth a try.
Any of you had either of these?...

finally took one this Saturday.
I really enjoyed it. Learned to cook:
mozzarella stuffed chicken breast (the trimming the chicken and stuffing procedure was the best part)
asian marinated fish (fish cooking methods was new to me)
homemade veg soup, This was not a big deal, it was to tea...

Anyone know of cereal that would fit this? I bought the Publix version of All Bran (basically just sticks) because the fat and carb content was so low.
Got it home and realized it had aspartame in it.

If you like Guinness and enjoy a good lager this is a good beer.
It has the dark color and nice bitter finish of the classic with the mouth feel of a lager.
Good alternative to a Pale Ale if you are not wanting so much citrus taste.

Give Adele's a try. They are on the north end of town but they are big LSU supporters and host LSU games. Chef owner and his wife are in the house and very friendly.

In my years at LSU I never saw this. Yesterday morning there were hundreds of pelicans feeding. They were all packed in together on the north end of the university lake.

Went to Tsunami on Friday night.
While it is a bit hipster, it is worth going. The view is really nice, with the bridge lit up. And with the TS lights on, it was a bonus.

Limited selection. Only 3 savory dish trucks. BBQ, Cajun and Gyros.
