My family and I are coming to Baton Rouge for the weekend. We would like to know the best area for hotels. Somewhere you would be safe at night and such. Are the ones by the campus good? LaQuinta University seems to look good. Any feedback would be helpful....

I maybe taking a job at Earl K. Long Medical Center. I am moving from Pensacola, FL. I would like any tiger fans that live in Baton Rouge to tell me the good neighborhoods, good schools and such. I have a 10yo boy and a 12yo girl. We would like a good family friendly and safe area around Baton Rouge...
