| Outdoor Board|| Tips to get your young retriever settled down - The Last Coco on 11/25/13 at 3:10 pm|
OB, I have been having issues this season getting my Boykin settled down during hunts. She isn't quite 2 yet, but constantly whines and is generally very unsettled during hunts. I am always hunting from a makeshift blind or just hiding on the shore, so she doesn't really have a "place" to be. I am l...

I currently have Rivers and Wilson on my team. In my league you get 6 pts for each passing td.
I am considering a trade to get Tom Brady for Wilson straight up. I feel pretty confident with Rivers going forward, but think the potential for Brady to explode on the back half of the schedule with Gr...

| Outdoor Board|| Over run with hogs - how to draw them out in daylight or run them off - The Last Coco on 10/7/13 at 10:45 am|
So, finally had hogs invade my spot. They're THICK now. I would love to kill some, but they only seem to come out at night. Is there any way to either 1) make them come out during the day, or 2) put out some feed that they won't eat?
I can't use a timed feeder and can't hunt at night where I am h...

| Outdoor Board|| Sprucing up decoys - The Last Coco on 8/27/13 at 9:42 pm|
I read somewhere that a good way to spruce up dull decoys for the season is to wipe them down with Armor All. It helps make the colors stand out and look glossy.
As a spin off from that, what do y'all think about spraying them down with a tire shine product to reach the same effect? Has anyone tr...

| Outdoor Board|| Homemade TX Rig for decoys - The Last Coco on 8/18/13 at 1:22 pm|
I know several OBers were interested in TX rigging decoys. After buying a couple dozen pre-made TX rigs, I decided to make my own as I recently bought a lot of decoys and didn't want to shell out the $20/dozen the pre-made rigs cost.
All of my decoys came with weights, so instead of buying new eg...
| Outdoor Board|| Decoys for your jerk string - weighted vs unweighted keel - The Last Coco on 8/16/13 at 2:00 pm|
I'm in the process of DIY texas rigging decoys for the upcoming season. Some have weighted keels, some don't. I will be setting aside 6 to use on the jerk string which I will not tx rig.

I am struggling coming up with a way to effectively duck hunt with my dog in waste deep or so water without timber nearby.
A chair or marsh seat wouldn't be tall enough. I don't have a tree to mount something on. I will be wading, but will have to paddle in with a kayak. I could just hunt her ou...
