Local middle schools teach hunting skills including gun safety, game handling and care, etc. The High Schools are offering an Outdoor Biology class which teaches survival, which includes time spent at the range.
I really wish more schools would do this and teach our kids...

Did this a few years ago and came out with a few ounces, but it was half what it is now. Spend a few hours a couple weekends ago and pulled a little color out of the creek with just a gold pan, and got $150 for it. Worth more, but the broker makes a bit on the transaction.

Dale Hemman a veteran of flying in Alaska showed us this unusual crash footage from Fairbanks last year when his engine quit right after takeoff and he crash landed with three cameras recording the impact. If you've never seen the video, it's some of the best impact footage you will find.
