Today is the anniversary of Pan Am 759 which crashed shortly after takeoff from the New Orleans airport killing all 143 passengers and another 8 on the ground. at the time it was the second deadliest aviation disaster in US history.
I was born years after the crash. Who here remembers the crash ...

I'm in Louisiana and in pretty decent shape (4 miles in about 30 min) and I'm running 5K in Chyenne in July. Chyenne has an elevation of about 6600 ft. My question is how can I train for that at sea level in Baton Rouge....

I have a job offer with the government (I know, I know) and there are offices all over the state. I would like to live in a smaller town but within 30min-1hr of a big city (Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, etc.)

Has anyone here been to the Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC? It is on top of the Seagram building and the restaurant was designed by Meis Van der Rohr. The interior is pretty much the same as was when it opened 60 years ago. The menu looks good.

Anyone here been to a UT game in Ausitn? If so what is the tailgating scene like? Going to the UT v. Wyoming game this weekend trying to get a feel on what I can expect. I know it won't be as good as LSU. Any advice on where to go, what locations are better? TIA...

I can't remember the last time LSU played them in baseball. LSU plays every other state school with a Div. 1 program regularly. Tech has a decent team and they play Baylor, Minnesota (who were both at the LSU regional last year), Texas, and Arkansas this year. Seems like it would be a good matchup. ...
