For the most recent class, he left off Maddux, Bagwell, Biggio, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Glavine, Jeff Kent, Piazza, Thomas.
And he only voted for one player, Jack Morris, who had a career 3.9 ERA when hitters sucked.
Morris has flaws -- a 3.90 ERA, for example. But h...

I understand a large component of a coveted rookie contract is upfront money. Take Kevin Gausman last year for instance, whose contract "includes a 4.32 signing bonus."
So as I understand it, Gausman gets $4.32 million unless he violates terms of the agreement. Is this depreciated over the lengt...

If I am not mistaken, in the Wimbeldon final Sunday, Federer served a ball that was ruled out by the official. Federer challenged, however, and the camera showed the ball was in. Federer got credited with an ace.
Are all serve challenges awarded an ace in this scenario? What if the ball went in ...

I realize this is an obvious question for most. Why can't a team just have a salary cap and divide up the money how they want? Is this purely for franchise tag purposes?...
| Money Talk|| Roth IRA early distribution: Principal subject to 10% tax before 5 years? - LSUtoOmaha on 6/27/14 at 11:32 am|
I was told by my online broker that, if you take an early withdrawal of the principal in a Roth IRA, you are subject to a 10 percent penalty unless a certain time period elapsed. Is that correct?
I checked the IRS website and saw the five-year amount listed. The internet opinions regarding this ...
The Monty Hall problem is a brain teaser, in the form of a probability puzzle (Gruber, Krauss and others), loosely based on the American television game show Let's Make a Deal and named after its original host, Monty Hall. The problem was originally posed in a letter by Steve Selvin to the Am...

Say this is in Louisiana, and at the time you have reasonable suspicion to believe the person is getting into your car to steal it. Can you point a gun at them to make them leave or do you have to just yell and call the police about a hijacking?
1. The car is parked and nobody ...

I was discussing this topic a few days ago with some friends, and we struggled to come up with good examples. O'Mara, Zimmerman's attorney, is the most impressive I have ever seen. First, he knows how to cross-examine a witness, making them look foolish, without being condescending in any way. He even spoke nicely of the state medical examiner, who was absolutely horrendous.
