| Money Talk|| Expectations: Sports gambling vs. stock market - TX Tiger on 12/11/14 at 4:26 pm|
If you could make 11% instant return on an "investment" into a sports bet, would you take that over the average stock in your portfolio?
The money line on Alabama is around -400 against Ohio State. That seems like legalized stealing to me. :dunno: ...
| SEC Rant|| FSU near-misses vs. Bama near-misses - TX Tiger on 11/18/14 at 10:10 pm|
All I keep hearing is how FSU barely beat this team and barely beat that team. Yet they conveniently forget that Bama beat unranked Arkansas by 1 point (missed extra point) and beat unranked LSU in overtime.
In addition, outside of Miss. St., Alabama has not beaten a team with fewer than 4 losses...
| SEC Rant|| When Miss. State loses to Bama Saturday, they should remain No. 1 - TX Tiger on 11/14/14 at 9:00 am|
The playoff committee has already told us that 1-loss teams can jump undefeated teams (Oregon over FSU). It also clearly stated the just because a team beats another, doesn't mean it has to be ranked above them (TCU-Baylor).
Given that brilliant set of standards, Miss. St should remain No. 1 desp...
| SEC Rant|| If head-to-head doesn't matter, what's the point of a playoff? - TX Tiger on 11/4/14 at 8:44 pm|
We're having a playoff so that teams can decide it on the field in head-to-head competition, yet according to the committee tasked with choosing the teams to participate, head-to-head competition isn't a deciding factor.
Does this make sense to anyone?...

| SEC Rant|| Sugar Bowl - TX Tiger on 11/14/12 at 12:49 pm|
Is there a rule that says the Sugar Bowl can't take 2 SEC teams (if no other SEC team has already been taken by BCS bowls of course)?
With six of the top nine ranked teams why wouldn't the Sugar Bowl take two of those (that didn't play during the regular season).
